In case you haven’t noticed, it’s been a few weeks since I’ve written a Fitness Friday post. I promise it’s not because I’ve fallen off the fitness bandwagon or been lazy about writing.
Really it’s because I’ve gotten a few new fitness gadgets that I need to use, take pictures of, and write about, and that takes time.
Time I have not yet spent actually accomplishing this task.
The first gadget I’ve been playing around with is my new (to me) Garmin Forerunner 405. This is an older model gps watch, but I got it for a steal on Ebay, and it works great so far! There is a bit of a learning curve, however, so I want to really explore it’s functions before I fill y’all in.

Next is an ITB strap. After three weeks of hip-strength exercises I still can’t run more than two miles pain free. My 10k is looming, so I’m trying out this band-aid type solution. I’m heading out on my first run with it in a minute. If it works (or doesn’t) I’ll let you know!

PS these are not my legs.
SO that’s what’s new in my fitness world! As I get familiar with these gadgets, I’ll get a little more in-depth here.
Happy Friday!
The Wife
Oh, yeah! Another gadget I have, my Fitbit, broke. Not completely (it still works) but part of the housing cracked off. Not only is Fitbit replacing it under warranty free-of-charge, but they are replacing it with a newer version; the Fitbit One. When that comes in the mail I’ll have all kinds of fun stuff to say about it! Plus, my mom gets my old Ultra, since it still works.

Can’t wait to hear more about your new fitness goodies!
